Donald Bruce Holley, 73, of Birdsboro, PA passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Born in Reading, PA on September 14, 1951, he was a son to the late Boyd Lee Holley Sr. and Evelyn Riegel. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his sister Doris (Holley) Gregro; and his 5 brothers Gerald Holley, LeRoy Holley, Charles Holley, Boyd Holley Jr. and Frank Holley. He’s also reunited with his beloved wife of 48 years, Deborah Lynn (Frederick) Holley, who he never stopped adoring.
Donald spent 25 years as co-owner of Ted's Garage. When he wasn’t working, he was at his cabin in Tioga, PA. An avid outdoorsman, he hunted wild game across the country with an adventurous spirit and sharp aim. Custom cars, NASCAR races, and football filled his downtime—though everyone knew the true center of his world was his very loving wife, Deborah (who not only stole his heart but also likely earned sainthood for putting up with his antics for nearly half a century.)
Donald's spirit will be carried on by his 3 daughters Brandi Lynn Holley, Amy Lynn Bill, and Jessica Lynn Moyer. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Rosemarie LaManna and her husband Sam; and his 9 grandchildren Carrie Dworshak, Kacie Quinter, Sandy Holley, Chloe Eisenhower, Kaylee Bill, Kaleb Bill, Tyler Holley, Cody Holley and Kira Moyer to cherish his memory.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. A celebration of life service will promptly commence in the funeral home at 1:00 PM, with Celebrant Sheryl Manzella officiating. Inurnment at Forest Hills Memorial Park will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Donald's memory may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Rd., Birdsboro, PA 19508 —or raise a glass of Seagram's 7 & 7 and toast to a life well lived. Cheers to Donald, whose adventures, love, and dedication left an indelible mark on all who knew him, and to Deborah, whose patience and grace were nothing short of saintly.
