Dorothy Ann Cook

She was born in Reading on March 11, 1922, a daughter of the late Harold R. and Mabel E. (Barto) Tomlinson.

Dot was a 1939 Reading High School graduate and a very faithful and lifelong member of St Paul's Lutheran Church.

She was always a great help with the holiday bazaar and candy making. Dot also served on the women's group, as an usher and loved children.

She is survived by her son, Robert J. Cook and his wife, Nam Tims-Cook, of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; her granddaughters, Hillary A. Cook-Santagata (Orange County, Calif.), Mary Tims (Chicago, Ill.); and grandsons, Ruben and Steve Betancourt (Orange County, Calif.).

She has 6 great grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Dorothy's life will be Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at 11 a.m. in St Paul's Lutheran Church, 1559 Perkiomen Ave., Reading PA 19602. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will be at the church 10-11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to her church at the above address.
