Dorothy Jean Hearn

D. Jean “Jeanne” (Connolly) Hearn, 78, of Reading, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in the Reading Hospital with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late William Norris Hearn, Jr. Bill passed away in 2004.

Born in Ridgely, MD on June 22, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Eugene Francis and Helen Elizabeth (Plummer) Connolly.

Jeanne loved raising her family and she doted on her grandchildren. She liked to read, crochet, sew and watch the TV show Graceland; especially the actor Daniel Sunjata. Jeanne was a cat lover. And she absolutely loved Billy Ray Cyrus!

Surviving are her two sons, William H. Hearn, III and his wife, Alicia of Valdosta, GA and Michael S. Hearn of Hermosa Beach, CA; four daughters, Lisa Anne Snook and her husband, Dennis of McClure, Laura Marie Theresa Hug and her husband, Matthew of Reading, Kathleen Camille Walter and her husband, Christopher of Birdsboro and Christina Erin Raymond and her husband, Jason of Birdsboro; nine grandchildren, Jonathan, Stephanie, Timothy, William M., William H., Daniel, Valarie, Kelly and Sean and a great grandson, Damien.

Also surviving are four sisters, Barbara Marie Villone, Helen Elizabeth Lucas, Thelma Elaine Gretzinger and her husband, John Nielsen and Wanda Carole Morton and her husband, Rick.

A Celebration of Life service will be at 10am on Saturday, September 12, 2015 in Auman’s Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Jeanne will be laid to rest with Bill in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, 4 Park Plaza Rd., Wyomissing, PA 19610.
