Dudley Roy Graham, 87, of Reading, PA entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cherry Hill, Portland, Jamaica on May 20, 1937, he was a son to the late May (Minott) Peart and Wesley Peart. In addition to his parents, Dudley was greeted in heaven by his beloved wife Islyn M. (Oakley) Graham.
Dudley’s life was one defined by hard work, passion, and an unwavering commitment to his family. As a skilled mason, he spent over 50 years perfecting his craft, working not only in Jamaica but also in the United States. In addition to his career as a mason, Dudley also worked in the production and maintenance departments at Sweet Street Desserts for a period of time.
A man of deep faith, Dudley was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Church of God, where he found comfort and guidance from his Senior Pastor, Bishop Robert E. Brookins. His love for singing and dancing was an expression of his joyful spirit, and he could often be found lifting his voice in praise to the Lord. Outside of his profession and church, Dudley had a variety of passions that kept his spirit young. He had a deep appreciation for jazz music and was an enthusiastic fan of both boxing and WWE wrestling. Dudley’s love for sports extended to cricket, a game that reminded him of home, while he also found joy and freedom in riding his motorcycle with pride along the open road.
However above all else, Dudley was a devoted family man. His children and grandchildren were the true joy of his life, and his love for them knew no bounds. Dudley was a phenomenal father, always there—rain or shine—for every milestone and moment, showing up for every important moment with unwavering support. His love extended far beyond his own family, as he became a father figure to many, sharing his wisdom, guidance, and kindness with all who needed it. Dudley’s friendships were deep and lasting, a reflection of his caring and thoughtful nature. His presence in the lives of those around him was a true blessing.
Although Dudley is no longer with us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
Dudley's spirit will be carried on by his 9 children: Everton Graham and his wife Hortense, Michael Graham and his wife Beverly, Devon Johnson and his partner Jackie, Locksley Graham and his wife Jacqueline, Radcliff Graham and his wife Alicia, Winsome Richardson and her husband Dave, Deborah Graham, Stephanie Graham and Christine Graham. Dudley also leaves behind his sister Olga Sparks, 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren to cherish his memory.
