Ernestine Louise Watkins

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of Homer Keller of Philadelphia and the late Lillian (Harris) Keller.

She was employed as a Supervisor for Prospectus-Berco for many years and last worked as the Assistant Director for Job Corps, Midwestern Division until retiring.

She was a master jewelry maker and a fantastic cook, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and companion. She was also very community minded and active in local politics.

She is survived by her partner, Michelle Duncan with whom she resided. Also surviving is her daughter, Jumoke Thomas of Reading and her son, Sylvester Thomas Jr. of Philadlephia. Also her grandchildren: Jamoka, Jeneica, Luis Jr., Lajada and Kylee and her great-grandchildren: Zeymir, Nacir, Zayvean and Jaezania as well as a host of beloved brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held in Theo. C. Auman, Inc. Funeral Home, 247 Penn Street, Reading, Pa. on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may view on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
