

He was the loving husband of Doris Ann (Mock) Angstadt.
Born on April 3, 1930 in Reading, George was a son of the late George R., Sr. and Helen (Leinbach) Angstadt.
George was employed with the Berkshire Knitting Mills as a machine operator in his younger years. He then was employed with the Wyomissing School District as a custodian. Later, he took employment with St. Lawrence Carbonizing as a truck driver for 30 years. Lastly, he was employed with Albright College as a custodian before he retired.
He was a member of the Mohnton Rod and Gun Club. George was a huge Washington Red Skins and Reading Fightin Phils fan. He enjoyed collecting different sports team’s hats and shirts. He also liked to collect anything that had eagles on it.
George’s real joy came from spending time with his family. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the apple of his eye.
In addition to his wife, Doris, George is survived by three sons, George R. Angstadt, III and his wife, Diane D. of Ephrata, Jeffrey S. Angstadt and his girlfriends, Patricia A. Tezak of Reading and Steven R. Angstadt and his wife, Christine M. of Exeter Twp.; a daughter, Jill L. (ANgstadt Jules-Fick and her husband, Charles A. of Reading; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way.
Also surviving are two sisters, Betty Regal of Reading and Karen Keith of Wernersville.
George is predeceased by his parents; a grandson, Michael J. Sternberger and two brothers, Larry and Paul Angstadt.
Services for George will be Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 12pm in Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home on Saturday from 11am to 12pm. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood.
