Gloria Ann Laney

Gloria Ann “Dolly” (Weil) Laney, 79, of Reading, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Saturday, October 3, 2015. She was the loving wife of Daniel Laney. The couple married on February 21, 1970.

Born in Earlville on November 30, 1935, Dolly was a daughter of the late John and Evelyn (Kollar) Weil. She was employed for 11 years at Penn Hurst Hospital as a Nurse’s Aide until 1983. Later she worked at Berkshire Center as a Nurse’s Aide for 10 years until she retired in 1993.

Dolly enjoyed traveling in her fifth wheel. She was a loving mother and devoted wife.

In addition to her husband, Daniel; Dolly is survived by four daughters, Toni Nathan and her husband, Mheg of Riverside CA, Robin Rivera of Reading, Susan Laney of Exeter Twp. and Danielle Laney of Reading; two step sons, Chuck Laney of Virginia Beach, VA and Jerry Laney and his wife, Aldine of Egg Harbor, NJ; a step daughter, Joi Randolph of Reading; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Also surviving are six sisters and one brother.

Dolly is predeceased by her parents and her step son, Danny Laney.

A Memorial Service for Dolly will be on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 5pm in Auman’s Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Family and friends will be gathering in the funeral home Thursday to share memories before service from 4 to 5pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605.
