Gloria G. Schlegel

Gloria G. (Ernst) Schlegel, 87, formerly of Mohnton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 10, 2018 in Berks Heim Nursing and Rehabilitation, Leesport. She was the loving wife of the late Harold A. Schlegel.

Born on November 6, 1930 in Reading, Gloria was a daughter of the late Claude and Violet (Fichthorn) Ernst. She was last employed with Berks Heim Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Surviving are a son, Ralph M. Schlegel and his wife, Janet of Reading; two daughters, Virginia (Schlegel) Lisa of Leesport, wife of the late John Lisa and Donna (Schlegel) Kozlowski of Auburn, wife of the late Harvey Kozlowski; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 45 great great grandchildren and one great great great grandchildren.

Also surviving are five brothers, Norman, Bruce, John, Leroy and Ernest Ernst and a sister, Patricia (Ernst) Dunlop.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Harold; Gloria is predeceased by two sons, Richard C. and Dale A. Schlegel; five brothers, Richard, Claude C., George, David and Claude R. Ernst and three sisters, Lucy, Betty Jane and Joanne Ernst.

Services for Gloria will be at 10am on Thursday, May 17, 2018 in Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. A viewing will be in the funeral home on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 7 to 9pm and on Thursday from 9:30 to 10am. Burial will follow services in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading.
