Isaiah Christopher DeBooth, 59, of Reading, Pennsylvania passed on to his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 9, 2023. He was born in Reading, PA. on June 21, 1963 a son of Dr. Marie (Burgess) DeBooth Simmons and the late Elder Seymore L. DeBooth.
Isaiah was a graduate of Glen Mills School where he was on the football team. Isaiah also attended Reading Area Community College and was a graduate of United Christian Institute where he graduated from General Bible II. He was employed by Morgan Corp. in Morgantown, PA. before his illness. Isaiah, from his birth, was a member of Reading Deliverance Evangelistic Ctr., Inc. where the founders were both of his parents, Elder Seymore DeBooth and Dr. Marie DeBooth-Simmons, where he served as a licensed minister, gospel musician and singer. He was a great bass guitar player at an early age of 8 years old and was an awesome baritone singer. In 2018, he became a member of God's Worship & Praise Temple, where the Pastor is Apostle Edna Lewis, where he was on the Praise Team as a singer and musician and active in the Sunday School class which he enjoyed. Isaiah was also very instrumental in the music department in Mt. Zion COGIC, Reading under Pastor Kevin Glimp as well as House of God Holy COLG, DeKalb St., Norristown, PA. Apostle Larry T. Owens. He used his God given talents in local bands including; Forever Faithful Gospel Singers, Blessed By Faith, The Propheteers, J.W. Sheriff & The Southern Silvertones and The Voices of Deliverance Choir of his home church Rdg. Deliverance Evangelistic Ctr., Inc.
In addition to his mother, he leaves to cherish his memory his siblings; Timothy DeBooth, Deborah DeBooth, Sheneque DeBooth, Buford A. Simmons and 2 step sisters, Regina Cabrera and Prophetess Michele Simmons. Also his nephew, Calvin Scott, Jr., 4 nieces, Marie Suzanne and her husband Joshua Dussau, Bridget Scott, Calvinai' Scott, Deboni Scott and great niece, Genavieve Dussau.
Isaiah is survived by step children; Regina Guldin, Lucky Guldin, Rachael Dixon, Paula Brown, Lucas Faith, Frankie Graham, Jr., Marcus Graham, Shaneva Graham and Sophie Marie Owens, 16 step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren.
A host of close friends and family relatives.
Isaiah will be met in heaven with his 2 brothers, Seymore DeBooth II, Demetrius DeBooth, step-sister Elder Bonita Faye Jones and his step-father, Pastor Buford Simmons.
A Viewing for Isaiah will be Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM at Oasis Sanctuary Church (C.O.G.I.C.), 1101 Lancaster Ave., Reading, PA 19607, followed by A Celebration of Life Service at 10:30 AM.
Isaiah will be laid to rest in Pleasant View Cemetery 650 Fritztown Rd., Sinking Spring, PA 19608.
