

Jacquelyn R. (Laws) Quade, 83, of Bluffton, SC, formerly of Reading, passed away peacefully in her home in South Carolina on Friday, January 17, 2014. She was the loving wife of the late Charles F. Quade Jr., whom passed away on February 27, 1999.
Born in Reading on May 30, 1930, she was a daughter of the late William and Verna (Keim) Laws. She was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Shillington.
Jacquelyn and her husband, Charles were the former owners of Stokesay Castle, EMR Corp., DNS Leasing, Reading Pump and Supply and the Pennsylvania Liberties, a Professional Ladies Softball League. She was also a member of the Golden Rule Chapter 251 and Chapter 390, Alethea Chapter 461 and the Reading Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by two children, C. Scott Quade and his wife, Christine (Reider) of Bluffton, SC and Donna Q. Majewski of Blandon; five grandchildren: Heather P. Quade, Nicole E., Melissa A., Emily R. and Megan M. Majewski; a brother, Ronald Laws and his wife, Elaine of Reading and a sister, Marilyn Scheifele and her husband, David of Bluffton, SC.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Charles, Jacquelyn is predeceased by a brother, William Laws Jr.
Family and friends are invited for a viewing from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014 in Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. A committal service for family and friends will commence at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
