

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Clarence and Betty (Schoffstall) Palm. He was the husband of Lydia (Dudyk) Palm. He was predeceased by his sister Jane Palm in 2018.
Jim was a hard-working and loving man, whom many looked up to. Jim worked at Polymer Plastics, Reading, then S & L Plastics, Nazareth, for many years until retiring in December 2019. He had a smile and laugh that could light up the room. Jim’s love language was food, he spent many of occasions in the kitchen, cooking for hours to ensure all were taken care of. Being surrounded by his family and friends is where Jim felt the most fulfilled and loved. Though Jim loved being surrounded by others he also enjoyed the calmness Fishing and the Outdoors provided him. Additionally, he was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Oley, where he assisted in many ways – Building Maintenance, Working Events, etc.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister Melanie Iezzi, wife of Alfred, his daughter, Caitlin (Palm) Shahan, wife of Corey and his son Rian Palm. He is also survived by his step children, Jennifer Sweeney, wife of Matthew; Danielle Barth, wife of Jeffrey; Rebecca Dudyk and Omar Dudyk, husband of Laura Clinton. Also survived by his grandchildren, Piper and Cooper Sweeney, Felicity, Serena and Rayne Barth and Melanie Dudyk and Owen Dudyk.
A memorial service will be held at Theo. C. Auman, Inc. Funeral Home, 247 Penn Street, Reading, Pa. 19601 on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 11:00 am. Friends and family will be received on Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:00 am. Interment will be private at the family’s convenience.
