

He was the loving son of Arlene P. (Heckman) Watt of Lewes, DE, and the late William P. Watt Sr.
John was born in Reading on November 23, 1951 and graduated from Oley Valley High School.
He was employed with GAI-Tronics as a warehouse supervisor from 1978 to 1992. John took employment with East Penn Manufacturing in the warehouse from 1992 to 2002.
John was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during Vietnam.
He enjoyed fishing and going to flea markets. He was an avid sports fan and specifically loved the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers and Phillies.
In addition to his mother, John is survived by seven siblings: Janet R. (Watt) and her husband, D. Nelson Levan, of Orchard, IA; Bonnie L. (Watt) and her husband, William Schaeffer, of Womelsdorf; Eva P. (Watt) Hart of Reading; Rick L. Watt and his wife, Ellen, of Boyertown; William P. Watt Jr. and his companion, Diane Cronrath, of Birdsboro; Sandra K. (Watt) and her husband, Lee Greisimer, of Oley and Frank S. Watt of Lewes, DE. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by two daughters, Corey Lynn Watt (1979) and Shelley Ann Watt (1980) and a brother, Michael A. Watt (1973).
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 in Berks County Memorial Gardens, 201 Evansville Rd., Fleetwood. Family and friends are requested to meet inside the cemetery entrance by 9:45 a.m. to form a procession.
