Born in Reading on June 15, 1935, June was a daughter of the late Richard and Florence (Smith) Edwards. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Reading and then St. John's Lutheran Church in Sinking Spring.
June was employed with the former Whitner's Dept. Store as head of the shipping dept. June worked at Bachman's Pretzels and then sales with the former Berks Art and Joseph's Clothier. She also worked with Prospectus Berco as an aide before working for the Reading School District as a lunch aide part time for 20 years.
June was a hard working, independent person that enjoyed spending time with her family and loved animals.
Surviving are her son, Michael D. Behle and his wife, Lori E. of West Lawn; two grandchildren: Erica Lynn Behle of Reading and Chad Michael Behle of West Lawn.
Also surviving is her furry child, Mister T.
A funeral service June will be 11am on Friday, January 25, 2019 in Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601. A viewing will be in the funeral home on Friday from 10am to 11am. June will be laid to rest in Laureldale Cemetery, Reading.
