

Kevin Ziemba passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born November 13, 1954 in Reading, PA to Janis and the late Chester Ziemba. He graduated from Exeter High School in Reading, PA and Paul Smith College in Paul Smith, NY with a degree in Forestry. After 35 years with the National Park Service he retired from the Blue Ridge Parkway, having worked at Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site Elverson Pa, Colonial National Historical Park Yorktown, VA, Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area Bushkill, Pa, and Big Cypress National Preserve in Ochopee, Fl. After retirement, he worked as a starter for Mt. Mitchell Golf Course for a few years. He was a member of Mt Carmel Baptist Church Spruce Pine, NC. He enjoyed golfing and volunteered with the Boy Scouts of a America for many years and also enjoyed watching Penn State and the Minnesota Vikings football.
Surviving is his wife, Beth Ziemba of Burnsville; son, Eric Ziemba and wife, Heather, of Spruce Pine; step-son, Allen Shafer of Green Mountain; a brother, Todd Ziemba and wife, Sandy, of Reading, PA; granddaughters: Emma Grace Ziemba and Kaylee Rose Ziemba; a niece; 2 nephews; brother-in-law, William Dailey of Effort, Pa; father-in- law, William Dailey of Burnsville and one aunt. Numerous cousins also survive.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12th in Forest Hills Memorial Park in Reading, PA. A local memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced.
