Lucille Elizabeth Steele, 92 of Reading passed away December 28, 2017. She was born in Reading on September 3, 1925, the daughter of the late Charles and Mabel (Werner) Stein. Lucille was a devoted loving mother and homemaker. Not going beyond high school, she became a small business owner, a property investor and a weaver at Narrow Fabrics in Wyomissing.
Lucille was first widowed by her husband, Forrest Fick Sr., a retired Navy veteran in 1959. She is survived by her loving daughter, Kathleen Angstadt; and sons, Forrest L. Fick Jr. and Charles A. Fick and his wife, Jill.
Lucille later married Victor Steele, who passed away in 1984. At age 42, Lucille grew her family and is survived by her devoted daughter, Eileen Victoria Steele and fiancé, Walter B. Richardson, now both of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Lucille's last child was a son, Victor Lee Steele, who died at birth. Many happy years ensued with her blended family, but once the nest was empty, Lucille still found love and enjoyment living at Berks Leisure Living in Lebanon, Pa., with her companion Harry Lagle, who passed away shortly after Lucille moved to Manor Care nursing home. Lucille still got out this year to attend her family's reunion, a tradition upheld by her favorite nephew, Robert McMullen and family. In Lucille Steele's final days she was surrounded by those whose love is eternal... her children and family.
Also surviving is her brother, Matthew Stein and his wife, Nita, 9 grandchildren: Kenneth, Bradley, Charles, Dwayne, David, Adrian, Kelly, Eric and Michael; and multiple great-grandchildren. Services and burial are private.
Theo C Auman Funeral Home, Reading, is honored to serve the family.
