A graduate of Exeter High School, Margie remained deeply connected to her hometown throughout her life. She was a devoted member of Holy Cross United Methodist Church, where her faith, music, and service were central to her identity. From playing piano alongside her mother in her youth to joyfully singing in the church choir, music was always woven into the fabric of her life.
Together with her late husband, Jim Fegley, Margie co-owned and operated Fegley’s Violin Shop, where their marriage and working partnership flourished side by side. Their shared passion for music and craftsmanship made the shop a beloved fixture in the local arts community. Margie dedicated herself to the fine art of bow repair and was known not only for her skill, but also for the care and attention she gave to every customer and instrument. The shop continued on with Joseph McDevitt, with whom her days were rooted in mutual respect, laughter, and a shared love for their craft.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Jim, and is survived by her brother John, cousin Cheryl, several devoted nieces and nephews, and many close friends who will cherish her memory always.
Margie’s giggly spirit, selfless heart, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew her. She had a way of making people feel seen and valued — whether through laughter, a kind gesture, or simply by showing up for others time and again. Margie leaves behind a legacy of music, kindness, and a life lived with purpose and joy.
