MaryLouise S. Abell, 94, of Reading, Pennsylvania passed away in her home on Monday, February 24, 2025. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack S. Abell on April 23, 1993 and were married on September 17, 1954 and also predeceased by her son, Gary Abell on October 28, 2022.
MaryLouise was born in Reading on February 14, 1931, a daughter of the late LeRoy and Mary (Spohn) Haas. She was a 1949 Muhlenberg High School graduate and was head majorette in her high school marching band. MaryLouise loved sports and her favorite teams were The Phillies and the Eagles. She would welcome anyone into her home and made them feel like family. She and her husband were owner/operator of a chimney company in Allentown. MaryLouise was the most wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by all.
Surviving are her children; Cindy and her husband Steven Tumolo Sr., Jane and her husband Daniel Rotkiske, Patricia widower of Christopher Raifsnider and Keith J. Abell, 5 grandchildren; Steven, Jr., Christine, Jason, Janine and MaryLouise and 5 great grandchildren; Brianna, Jacob, Emmit, Zoe and Ian. MaryLouise was predeceased by her siblings; LeRoy S. Haas, Jack S. Haas, Anna May S. Hoffman and LaRene S. Sharp.
A viewing for Mary Louise will be Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, in Theo C Auman Funeral Home,247 Penn Street, Reading, PA 19601. A funeral service will be Wednesday March 5, 2025 at 12 noon in the funeral home. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
