Michelangelo Bruno,88, of Reading, PA entered eternal rest on Monday, January 17, 2022, at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. Born October 28, 1933 in Delia, Sicily he was a son to the late Giuseppe Bruno and Grace Maria (Culmone) Bruno.
Michelangelo served in the Italian Army and came to America in 1975. He was a member of Holy Rosary RCC and was the proud co-owner of the Italian French Pastry Shop in Reading, for 40 years until his passing.
Michelangelo's spirit will be carried on by his 2 daughters Grace Messersmith and Rosita Dobson; and daughter-in- law Susan Bruno, wife of the late Giuseppe "Joe" Bruno. Michelangelo also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
In addition to his parents, Michelangelo was greeted in heaven by his beloved wife of 60 years, Calogera (Strazzeri) Bruno; his son Giuseppe "Joe" Bruno; his brother Angelo Bruno and his sister Maria Bruno.
A viewing for Michelangelo will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Theo C. Auman Inc., 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601. A Mass of Christian burial will promptly commence at 11:00 AM at Holy Rosary Church, 237 Franklin St., Reading, PA 19602. Entombment will immediately follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Rd., Reading, PA 19605.
