Mickey D. Greer Sr.

Mickey was the son of the late Raymond, Sr. and Melvina (Beckett) Greer. He attended Muhlenburg High School and Reading High School. He was active with the wrestling team where he won the state championship. Later he was employed with Car Tech. as a tow motor operator for 28 years until retiring in 2002. Mickey was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Temple.

Mickey leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Grace (Gilmore) Greer, whom he married on February 11, 1967 in Reading and two sons, Eron and Dustin Greer of Temple.

Also surviving is a brother, Larry Greer and his wife, Louise of Cllinton, MD; three sisters, Loretta Hines of Reading, Sandra Greer of Reading and Virginia Richardson of Los Angeles, CA and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mickey is predeceased by his son, Michael D. Greer, II; a brother, Raymond Greer, Jr. and two sisters, Arlene Thompson and Vivian Lomack.

A Memorial Service will be at 4:00pm on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Theo C Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 3 to 4:00pm. Inurnment will take place in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood at a later date.
