Nicole Aughtry, age 44, of Reading, entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 4, 2020 in Reading Hospital. Born March 27,1976 in Reading, she was the cherished daughter of the late Olin and Shirlestine (Covington) Aughtry. Nicole was a graduate of Reading High School, graduating in 1994. She worked at Advantage TeleMessaging, Wyomissing, as an agent and dispatcher, since June 2016.
Nicole was an avid Philadelphia Sports fan, especially the Philadelphia Eagles, and absolutely treasured spending time with her family and friends. Above everything else, she was a loving and doting mother to her daughter, Simone, and was very active in her life. Her family, all of whom loved her dearly, will never forget her tenacity, wit, beauty, goodwill and undying love for them.
Nicole's spirit will be carried on by; loving daughter Simone Shirlestine Brown; companion Wayne Brown, of Reading; brother Gary L. Aughtry and his wife Bernecia (Gumbs), of Odenton, MD; nephews Malcom E. and Khalil I. Aughtry, of Odenton, MD; aunts Gloria (Aughtry) Welborn, of Fort Worth TX , Rachel (Aughtry) Lewis, of Thomasville, NC, Gertrude A. (Aughtry) Lindsay, of Thomasville NC and great aunt Fredonia (Covington) Copeland, of Reading; uncles James Covington and his wife Patricia (Brown), of Rockingham, NC , Elihue C. Covington, of Rockingham NC and Horace Aughtry of Reading; her "favorite cousin" Tanya Aughtry, of High Point, NC; cousin Nicolette McCormick and special friend Billy Richardson, of Reading. Nicole also leaves behind a host of cousins, extended family and great friends to cherish her memory.
