With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Pauline Althea Johnson, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Pauline passed peacefully on February 19, 2025, at the age of 91. She was an active member of Washington Presbyterian Church which cultivated her deep faith. Her faith which was the foundation of her strength, hope, and compassion.
Guided by her devotion, Pauline dedicated her life to serving others, both at home and in her community. She worked tirelessly to uplift and inspire the next generation.
Above all, Pauline cherished her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Merle (1985); her sons, Merle, and Michael; and her siblings, Ernest, Clarence, Leroy, Bernice, Theodora, Herbert, Carl, and Dolores. She is survived by her loving sister, Marion, and dedicated brother Charles; her devoted daughters, Janice, and Stacey; her sons, James, Mark, and Paul; and thirteen beloved grandchildren – including her grandsons Jordan and Jada, with whom she lived and shared a special bond.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 6 at Auman’s Funeral Home, 247 Penn Street, Reading, PA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, with interment at Berks County Memorial Gardens at 12:45 PM.
All who were touched by Pauline’s warmth and generosity are welcome to attend and honor her memory. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
