Philip "Butch" James Livingood, 76, of Shillington, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at his residence. Born in Reading, PA on June 28, 1947 to the late Leon Livingood and Grace (Lamonica) Scripzak.
Philip worked at various places, including but not limited to: Prestolite Battery, Stanley G. Flagg Co., Cast-Rite Metal Co., and lastly working at Reading Hospital in housekeeping; retiring in 2006. He was also a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church parish, Reading.
In his spare time, Philip enjoyed cooking, eating, traveling to the shore and going camping with his family. He was a lover of classic American muscle cars, was always up for playing dominoes or cards, and absolutely treasured spending time with his grandchildren. He will be missed by all blessed enough to have known him.
Philip's spirit will be carried on by his 2 sons Philip T. Livingood and his fiancé Kristina M. Hardy, of Shillington, and Matthew J. Livingood and his wife Chrissy, of Schuylkill Haven. He also leaves behind 2 sisters Frances "Peachy" Cambria, Marie Freeman and her husband Chuck; 5 grandchildren Antonia, Aspen, Thomas, Jessica and Theresa; and 3 great grandchildren to cherish his memory.
In addition to his parents, Philip was preceded in death by his step father Francis Scripzak and his beloved wife Mary T. (Jones) Livingood; who passed away on August 23, 2017.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Auman's Inc., 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reiffton. Prayer service will promptly commence in the funeral home at 12:30 PM; graveside committal will immediately follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 391 W. Neversink Road, Reiffton.
