Ricardo Alva Cespedes Sr., 37, of Reading, PA unexpectedly gained his angel wings on Monday, May 17, 2021. Born October 20, 1983 in Norristown, PA he was the beloved son to Rosalie Guth, Alex Hicks Sr., Jose I. Colon Sr. and Lynese Colon.
Ricardo had a passion for sports, he enjoyed playing basketball and football, however, he exceled in wrestling. He was a devoted Steelers football fan, who liked to play video games and watch cowboy movies. Ricardo enjoyed taking his children swimming and absolutely treasured spending time with them.
Ricardo was known as the man who would do anything to help someone out. He was selfless and would give you the shirt off his back. He would give someone the last 5 dollars in his pocket, if it helped them out. He was loved by all blessed enough to have known him.
Ricardo's spirit will be carried on by his son Ricardo Alva Cespedes Jr.; daughter Gina Rose Capaccione;
his parents Rosalie Guth, Alex Hicks Sr., Jose I. Colon Sr. and Lynese Colon; 2 grandmothers Maryjane Guth and Jacqueline Perrotto; grandfather Cesar Sepulveda; 2 brothers Tony Karmel, Jose Colon Jr., 4 sisters Yolaisi Seem, Rosetta Place, Alicia Place and Denisha Mendez (Colon). Ricardo also leaves behind girlfriend Rachel Capaccione; Rachel's mother Gina Capaccione; 6 nephews and 4 nieces to cherish his memory.
Ricardo was greeted in heaven by his biological father Valerio Cespedes; great grandmother Mary D. Guth; great grandfather Alva Guth; grandfather Samuel Perrotto and grandmother Matilda Sepulveda.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Ricardo's life on Saturday, May 29, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at New Hope Baptist Church, 621 Church St., Reading, PA 19601, followed by a memorial service promptly commencing at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Jeffrey D. Bell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made by calling or stopping by Theo C. Auman Funeral Home to assist with Ricardo's funeral expenses.
