Richard Eugene Byerly Sr.

Richard Eugene Byerly Sr., 91, of Reading, PA passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at his residence. Born in Reading, PA on August 16, 1931, a son of the late Arlene A (Rismiller) and Elmer M Byerly.

Richard proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict War and studied engineer drafting while in the service. Upon returning to civilian life, he made a career as a Steelworker; working with various companies over a span of 48 years, until his retirement.

Richard's spirit will be carried on by his wife, Patricia Ann (Scheuring) Byerly; his 3 daughters Deborah McNeal, Kathy Vinogradov, Wynne Bachman; his 2 sons Richard Byerly Jr. and Michael Byerly. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren to cherish his memory.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his 3 brothers Thomas, Robert and Donald Byerly; and his 4 sisters Janice Augustine, Fay Peco, Marilyn Keller, Virginia Sell and Fay Peco.
