He was born Jan. 7, 1932, a son of the late Webster Lutz and Harriet (Rowe) Lutz.
He is survived by his wife, Raedell (Frick) Lutz, Reading.
He was a member of Faith Evangelical Congregational Church.
He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955.
He is also survived his daughters, Sherilyn Weaver, and her husband, Harold; and Shawn Strause, and her husband, Craig.
There are also eight grandchildren: Patrick Lantz, Nick Elia, Shannon Lantz, Brandon Elia, Serek Strause, Chad Lutz, Collin Lutz and Joshua Lutz; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert D. Lutz Jr.
Funeral services will be held at the Auman Funeral Home, Reading, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Friends and family will be recieved at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Laureldale Cemetery.
