Russell Gorden Long, 80, of Reading, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022. Russell was born in Reading on March 1, 1942 a son of the late Alfred and Mary Agnes (Gible) Long. Russell was employed at the former Bell Alley Pretzel Factory in Reading, as a pretzel twister all his life. He also volunteered as Santa Claus and handed out candy canes to the children.
Russell is survived by his 2 sisters; Sandra J. widow of Raymond Czartorynski and Virginia F. wife of Reinhold Rast. Russell was also predeceased by his siblings; Alfred Long, Gail Long, Carolyn Miller, Shirley Pilot and half brothers; Robert Willman, Howard Willman and Alvin Willman.
Graveside Services will be private in Berks County Memorial Gardens.
