Ruth I. Huyett-Hertzog

September 17, 2013. She was the loving wife of Wilmer A Hertzog.

Born in Reading on June 18, 1924, she was the daughter of the late John Elmer and Esther Mae (Hollenbach) Moyer.

Ruth was employed with the East Penn School District and retired in 1986. After that, she worked for the Borough of Emmaus and also the Lower Macungie Twp.

Ruth was a member of the Garden Club of Emmaus, the Emmaus Seniors and the Lower Macungie Seniors. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving are two children: Karen A. (Huyett) Werley and her husband, Myles, of Allentown; and Kevin A. Huyett and his wife, Madeleine T. (Carr), of Alburtis; seven grandchildren: Alison (Huyett) Cowley and her husband, Shawn; Mark Werley and his wife, Elizabeth (Barrall); Erika Huyett, Alexander Huyett, Philip Werley, Elspeth Huyett and Ian Huyett; two great-grandchildren, Owen Cowley and Matthew Werley; a daughter-in-law, Rosemarie (Kwolek) Huyett; a brother, James Moyer, and two stepsons, Glenn and Alan Hertzog.

Ruth is predeceased by her first husband, Albert O. Huyett; a son, Keith A. Huyett; twin sister, Dorothy Kohl; three additional sisters, Esther Moyer, Florence (Moyer) Wentzel and Laura (Moyer) Guthier and two brothers: John and George Moyer.

Services for Ruth are private and at the convenience of the family. Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reiffton, are entrusted with the arrangements.
