Shirley was born in Philadelphia on June 13, 1930, a daughter of the late Felix and Bessie (Hill) Ford.
She is survived by her 5 children: Craig Ford of
Reading; Sherwin Lowery of Reading; Derecke and his wife, Stephanie, Cox of Reading; Gail and her husband, Abdull, Wallace of Virginia Beach, VA; and Edward III and his wife, Katherine, Cox of Reading. There are 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday June 9, 2014 at 11 a.m. in Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading. A viewing will be Monday 9-11 a.m. in the funeral home. www.theocauman.com.
