Shirley was born in Reading on November 11, 1932, a daughter of the late Warren and Arlene (Reinert) Peters. She was employed by Shar-point, which became Alcon as a needle inspector for many years retiring there. Shirley love dto cook, bake, shop and enjoyed her garden. She liked listening to oldies and dance to the favorite songs. Shirley was the last remaining child and only female, of her 3 deceased brothers; Warren Peters, William Peters and Robert Peters.
Surviving are her 3 children; Darwin Kerper, Jr and his wife Nancy, Lynn and her husband Theodore Puc Sr and Cheryl Price and her fiance, Ruben Acevedo. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Scott Kerper, Mark Kerper, Richard Kerper, Jr., Tonya Winters, Colleen McDonough, Heather McNeal, Theodore Puc, Jr., Nathaniel Price and many others that called her Nan, and one great great grandson.
Shirley was predeceased by her son, Richard T. Kerper, Sr and grandson, Michael Puc.
Services will be Monday January 12, 2026 at 12 noon in Auman's Inc, 390 W Neversink Rd Reiffton, with a viewing from 11-12 in the funeral home. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Online condolences and may be shared at www.aumansinc.com for the Kerper family.
