Temmie’s love story began in Brooklyn, NY, where she and Sanford “Salty” Drucker grew up as next-door neighbors. At just 14, she knew he was the one. They couldn’t wait to start their lives together, marrying in 1951, when they were only 18 and 19. Over the next 73 years, Temmie and Salty's love never wavered—it grew, deepened, and became the heart of their family.
As a mother, Temmie embraced the joys and challenges of raising 5 children: Glen Drucker (Cynthy), Lynn Gold, Mark Drucker (Marian), Karen Drucker, and Susan Ericson (Bruce). Though she endured the loss of her 2 daughters Karen and Susan, as well as her son-in-law Roy Gold, she remained the steady, loving matriarch in her family. She was a proud grandmother of 9 and a doting great-grandmother of 7. Her family’s happiest memories include their cherished annual "Party" in Wildwood, NJ, where summers ended with love, laughter, and tradition.
Beyond family, Temmie had a diverse career in healthcare, social services, and business, but her greatest impact came from her dedication to helping others. A dedicated volunteer, she led the Long Island Chapter of Cancer Care and served on numerous boards and committees. An avid reader and Mah Jong player, she loved the arts, relished a good lecture—sometimes even leading them—and found joy in going to the theater.
Temmie touched countless lives with her kindness, wisdom, and boundless love. She will be deeply missed by her many friends, family, extended family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Burial will be private and at the discretion of Temmie's family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Henry Viscardi School, 201 I.U. Willets Road, Albertson, New York 11507.
