Theo Hans Schmidt

He was born in Immendingen, Germany on December 10, 1936, a son of the late Otto and Wilhelmine (Grimm) Schmidt.

Theo was an Army veteran serving during peace time and was employed by Dana Corporation as a supervisor for 42 years, retiring there.

He is survived by his son, Robert P. Schmidt of San Diego, CA; his sister, Irmgard Hierl of Wyomissing; his 2 brothers, Wilfried Schmidt and Dieter Schmidt, both of Germany. Theo was also predeceased by his 2 daughters, Yvonne A. Schmidt and Cynthia Schmidt; and his siblings: Inge, Mannfred and Herbert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 6, 2015, at 10 a.m., in Chapel of Resurrection, 3139 Kutztown Rd., Reading. Entombment to follow in the mausoleum.

A viewing will be Wednesday, August 5, 2015, from 6-8 p.m., in Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reiffton.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Elmcroft of Reading, 9 Colin Ct., Reading PA 19606, in Theo's memory.
