Arthur Burke Jr., age 96, formally of Cottonwood, California, died Thursday, January 30, 2025 peacefully at home in Red Bluff after a lengthy illness. Home birthed in Cape Vincent, NY, June 18, 1929, he was the son of Arthur S. Burke and Amelia Gallien. Art and his two brothers joined the Navy together and trained at USN Bainbridge, MI. CO #4695 January 1947.
Art served on ships and after sometime in South Korea Hospital he was discharged with a purple heart and victory medal. Arthur is survived by his wife, Marie of 57 years, two sons, Timothy and Arthur, Daughter Karen and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Internment will be at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo, California.
