Charlotte Marie Davis

1960 - 2011

Charlotte M. (Leak) Davis "Chuck," born July 30, 1960, died peacefully at her home after a brief battle with cancer on May 24, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was proceeded in death by her father Bobby Leak, mother Gwendolyn McCumber and brother Robert Leak. She was born in Fort Worth, TX and moved to California in 1968. She graduated from Hayfork High School. She leaves behind a loving husband of 28 years, Mark, two daughters, Erin Johnson (Calvin) of Redding and Katelyn Davis of San Francisco, three granddaughters, Aislin, Amirah and Monet, and grandmother Charlotte Robinson, stepfather George McCumber and stepsisters Pam, Corrine and Dana of Hyampom. Charlotte enjoyed working with youth and was a paraprofessional at Grant Elementary School. She loved taking walks with her husband, traveling, crafting and cooking for her family. She will be remembered for her bright smile, her love for the Lord and her optimistic outlook on life. A celebration of life will be held on June 4, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Grant Elementary School in Redding. A potluck will be held immediately after.
