

Frances Green was born to Harry C. Oskin and Florence C. Oskin in Calhoun, Missouri, March 31, 1932. She was the second girl in her family and had two older brothers. Later, she would also welcome 2 younger brothers. Eventually her family moved to Greeley Colorado. In 1950 she graduated from High School. In her early 20’s her family moved to Southern California where she went to work for many years as a technician at a dental lab. In the early 1970’s she moved to Redding CA, where she married Howard Green. They were very involved with hosting family gatherings, gardening, and preserving their harvest. Frances and Howard traveled extensively to visit distant family members. After her husband’s death Frances became involved with assisting elderly neighbors, friends, and worked as an In- Home Care Assistant for several local folks. She had a wide circle of friends with whom she socialized and went out for lunches and dinners. Once her own health got to the point where she needed assistance herself, she was very fortunate in meeting Tammy Luke, who, along with her husband Mitch, took Frances into their hearts and home.They helped her until her death January 25, 2017. She is preceded in death by brothers Joseph Oskin, Robert Oskin, and Billy Oskin, sister Margaret Lucas, and husband Howard Green.
