Larry Lorne Wurch, of Anderson, California passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Redding Ca. He was battling his third round of cancer. His family was by his side. Larry was born November 2, 1945 in Manitoba Canada to Arthur and Mrytle Wurch. The family moved to Torrance Ca when Larry was 13 years old. Larry graduated rom Torrance High School in 1965. He was then drafted into the Army in 1966 and he served until 1968. Not long after getting home from the Army, Larry met his first wife. They had four children: Laura, LeeAnna, Lindsey and Louie. In 1981 he moved his family to Redding Ca along with his parents. Soon after he established himself as a painter/plasterer and began Wurch plastering/painting. He had achieved the American Dream. Larry loved working along side of his dad and then with his brothers teaching them all the tools of the trade that had been taught by his dad. In 1981 Larry found himself facing a divorce and in that process he lost all that he had achieved. It changed him and he became distant from his family and friends. Larry always stayed in contact with his mom whom he loved very much and his sister Beverly who he called his Angel. Larry met the true love of his life Marie in 1992 and they remained with each other for 27 years. Larry was one of a kind. He was faithful, loyal, honest, giving, and strong. He would be there for you if you needed help with anything or just needed someone to talk to or just needed a hug. He was smart, resourceful and a survivor. Larry loved to dance and live life. Larry always said to me when we were on an uphill struggle, are you ready to get off this roller coaster ride and of course the answer was I'm in till the end. Larry was also great at telling jokes. I used to tell him he must have been a comedian in another life. Larry is preceeded in death by his parents and survived by four siblings; Beverly, Hazel, David and Darrell. He is also survived by his children Laura, LeeAnna, Lindsey and Louie; and stepchildren RyAnn and Juston. He also leaves behind several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins as well as other family and friends.
