

She was born on May 21, 1942, in East Garland, Utah, to Lena Lola Deininger and Wildon Lafayette Grover. In the 1950’s she moved to Ogden, Utah, where she graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1960.
For more than 10 years she worked as a Keypunch Operator for the IRS in Ogden, Utah. After leaving IRS, she spent the rest of her life as a homemaker.
Around 1960 she married Ron Smith and had one daughter, Lisa Ann Smith. In 1969 she married Timothy Howard Provan and had another daughter, Kelly Dawn Provan.
During her life she enjoyed playing pool, sewing, and traveling. Her family and friends will forever remember her as having a great sense of humor, always enjoying a good joke and being the ultimate vacuum collector.
Rhea is survived by her husband, Timothy Provan of Redding, California; her daughter, Lisa Smith-Lemmon of Grace, Idaho; her daughter, Kelly Provan-Murray of Rocklin, California; her grandchildren: Elisha Hancock of Layton, Utah; Veronica Barajas of South Weber, Utah; Caitlin Murray of Sacramento, California; and Preston Murray of Sacramento California; and her great-grandchildren: Alius, Alyxandria, and Lincoln.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Durrell Grover; and sister, Irene Grover-McKnight.
A Family Celebration of Life is scheduled for 1:00 pm on November 16th, 2024, at Springfield at Whitney Oaks (2801 Springfield Dr., Rocklin, CA 95765) with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Rhea’s life.
