Dear Junior and Shirley,
I am so sorry to hear of Steven's passing.  I have very fond memories of my cousins Steven and Shaynie when I was growing up and I always thought they were so fun to hang out with as a kid.  Please take care as I know this must be a most difficult time.

I am very grateful that Wanda sent the obituary to me.  Darla was my cousin.  I had never met Steven, but had met Susan.  I know this must be hard as I can't imagine losing a child.  My husband, Don, and I want to send our sympathy to you and your family.

Junior and family,
I was sorry to hear about Steven.  I have happy memories of times with Steven and Shaney and how they always made me laugh.  They both had a way of brightening up your day with humor.  I miss those times.

I will always remember Steve as a kind and gentle person.  I never heard him say an unkind word, and he was a great listener.

I never actually knew Steve very well but somehow I felt as if I did.  He had a warmth about him to match his sweet & gentle spirit.  I always looked forward to seeing him in Art's.  I will remember him always.

I would like to convey my condolences to Steve's father. I was a neighbor of Steve's, he was a good caring neighbor to have. Please know there are many people who cared for your son and are praying for you and Steve. I read where he went to school and what he did in his life here. Please know Mr. Bruce you did a wonderful job raising him into a fine caring man, Steve did all he was to do here on earth and now he is with his love ones who were all there waiting for him, no more broken body or heart, all healed by the grace of our Lord...Love Ronnette

We are so sorry about your loss and the loss of our nephew. I was only twelve years old when Steven was born. As his aunt Wanda I would be over at their house all the time,riding with Darla to Weaverville to the logging camp.If Steven had a upset stomache he loved a peppermint stick. My daughter was visiting and we had just watched some old movies that Steven's grandfather Troy had taken many years ago. Junior and Darla were just out of high school. I am so glad we have all the memories of year's past. Steven has aunt Linda also and she sends her prayers and deeply sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for the loss of Steve. I had the greatest of times in the early 70s hanging out with Steve and Shayne pretending Steve's VW was some big 4x4.  God bless you and your family during this time.
