Thomas M Bishop

To one he was 'devoted husband' for over forty-seven years.

To two he was a 'dutiful son' who fulfilled hopes and allayed fears.

To three he was the middle 'brother', a tormented yet much-loved lad.

And while he fathered only two, at least four called him 'dad'.

In his later years came five who made him 'Papa' to all he knew.

And as a grandfather his spirit soared and his inner light grew, so that in the end all who knew him found in him a 'wise & loving friend, and with their loving support his light shined brightly to the end.

He now has crossed on to his next life, and for the 1, 2, 3, 4 and more, his absence will be grieved, and yet, his light brightens our lives as before.

Tom leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Joan; daughter, Keri Strisower; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Melisa Bishop; five grandchildren, Miranda Strisower, and Michael Owen, Morgan, Madelyn and Meredith Bishop. Also his brother and sister-in-law Sam and Joan Bishop, sister-in-law Anne Bishop and mother-in- law Ruth Stoops.
