Tina was born on March 17th, 1971 at 12:46 A.M., 5 minutes after twin sister Tammy on St. Patricks day. She was born at Torrance Memorial Hospital, to Robert and Dorothy Gleed. The same hospital her mom was born. She was 45 years old and taken from us on January 30, 2017.
She lived in Redding, Ca for close to 25 years. She enjoyed the outdoors & loved to fish. She was always excited to get her fishing license for the next year at Christmas. She enjoyed spending time on Lake Shasta and Whiskeytown Lake. She loved her dog Sadie and spoiled her rotten. Sadie will miss her and not understand where she has gone.
When the twins were in grade school their friends called them twin 1 and twin 2 as they didn’t know which was which. They just called for one or the other and knew one of them would answer.
She had a very special bond with her twin sister Tammy. They certainly connected on that twin telepathy level. They would understand each other more than we ever could. Tammy misses her more than can be imagined.
She bravely battled Pulmonary Hypertension for 13 years. Stanford Medical Center literally brought her back from the brink of death, not once but twice. We could never thank them enough for everything they did to save her. They continuously tried new medicines, but unfortunately for her most of them did not work. She valiantly gave it everything she had. She is now out of her suffering. She can rest now as she was always weary and tired. We tried to have her stay with us but she needed to rest in God’s arms. She was the best of the best daughter, sister & Auntie to Amber Nicole. She did her best to help her friends when she needed help herself.
Tina never married or had children as her sickness wouldn’t allow. She spent the last 15 years with her significant other Jason Lanphear. She took Jason's son JC under her wing as her own.
When she was younger she and her sister spent many hours and days with their Aunt Judy and Uncle John. They went snow skiing, to Disneyland, Magic Mountain, to see Peter Pan and Disney on Ice. Many hours just being together. Her cousin Pamela went on vacations to Washington state with us when they were babies to help take care of them.
She is survived by Mom and Dad, sister Tammy, many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins, & special niece Amber Nicole. Amber and Tina had a very special relationship. Amber was like the child she never had.
We wish you peace Tina Marie. May you roam among the angels and don’t forget how much you are loved and missed.
No farewell words were spoken
No time to say goodbye
You were gone before we knew it
And only God knows why
The tears in our eyes we can wipe away
The ache in our hearts will always stay
In tears we saw you sinking
And watched you pass away
Our hearts were really broken
We wanted you to stay
But when we saw you sleeping
So peaceful free from pain
How could we wish you back with us
To suffer that again
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you did not go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God took you home
