Amanda Rae Kosis was born in Farmington Hills, Michigan on July 7, 1988 to Albert Kosis and the late Jeri Stevens. She passed away suddenly in Charlston, West Virginia on November 12, 2017 at the age of 29.
Amanda was the loving mother of Andrew Anthony Kosis (age 10). Cherished daughter of Albert and the late Jeri Stevens Kosis. Beloved sister of Amber (Seth) Priest, Alicia (Raul) Castaneira and Albert Kosis. Dear granddaughter of Johanna (the late Albert Kosis) Dulin, Joseph Stevens and Patricia Mcnair. Amanda will be deeply missed by her friend, caregiver and Andrew's grandmother, Antoinette Pellegrino. She will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Amanda was fun-loving in nature. She loved music and taught her son to appreciate everything from old school rap to modern country music. She could often be seen wearing purple and having a flower in her hair.
Her family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 1-7pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 25450 Plymouth Road (Just east of Beech Daly) Redford Township, Michigan 48239. The visitation will conclude with a service to celebrate her life at 7pm. The service will be led by The Reverend Doctor Jill Hardt Zundel of Central United Methodist Church in Detroit. If you have anything purple to wear, or a flower to put in your hair, it will make the celebration of Amanda's life very special to her son.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the wishes of the family in caring for her son Andrew.
