Christopher A. Turk

Christopher Alan Turk was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 29, 1951 and died in Lansing, Michigan on July 27, 2012. After completing Thurston High School and trade school, he worked most of life as a colorist, using his skills to do paint at DuPont and the Ford Motor Company, and even making tattoo ink for Eternal Ink most recently. He will be remembered for his quirky sense of humor and for doing magic.

Chris was preceded in death by his wife the late Yvonne and is the beloved father of Elizabeth (David) Babich, Sarah (Todd) Guajardo and Chris Turk II. He is Papa-Dad to Benjamin and baby Guajardo. He is also survived by his brothers Terry (Cheryl) Turk and Larry (Vittoria) Turk. He will be missed by his many friends.

Visitation for Chris will be on Wednesday August 1, 2012 from 1-8 pm and his funeral service will be Thursday August 2, 2012 at 11 am at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 25450 Plymouth Road in Redford, Michigan 48239. The funeral home is located on the north side of Plymouth Road, between Beech Daly and Telegraph Roads.

Chris will be laid to rest with Yvonne at Grand Lawn Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, his family asks that memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
