Helen G. O'Toole Kleinbrook

Helen O’Toole Kleinbrook, Born Sept 7, 1918, Saginaw, Michigan, the last of 6 children, Helen Marie 1906-1907, Harold James d. 1944, Ignatius "Spike" d. 1964, Joseph Sarto "Pat" d. 1966, and Ursula d.1996.

She was the first and only one of her siblings born in a hospital, the others were born in the family farmhouse. Moved with her family to Detroit and graduated from St. Cecelia H.S. in 1935. Attended Wayne State University where she met and married Charles E. Kleinbrook in November, 1940. Volunteered for the WWII effort while her husband was in the army for the 4 year effort. Raised a family on Hazelton in Dearborn Hts., Mi. where she resided since 1950.

Her children are Judith (Paul) Paskiewicz, James Kleinbrook, and Chip Kleinbrook, with a foster daughter, Barbara Trotter Alcozar. Dear aunt to the Johnson, Kleinbrook, Garrett, and Jann families. Survived by her children, grandchildren Marianne (Mark), James, Jessica (Ross) and Brett (Lindsey), foster grandson Mark Alcozar and four great grandchildren Samantha, Zachary Jansen, and Emilia and Zachary Ellison.

Dear neighbor and dedicated volunteer including president of Detroit Chapter of National Council of Catholic Women, Our Lady of Grace Church, (including school bus driver) and Lifespan.

The family will receive friends for a Visitation on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 from 4-9pm with a 7pm Rosary Service led by Deacon Robert DeWitt, at:

Helen will be laid to rest with Committal Prayers, next to her husband in Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan.
