James Smurf F. Kitzman

James was the loving dad of James Frederick Kitzman, II. Cherished brother of David (Laura) Kitzman and DeAnna (Peter) Middleton. Beloved son of James and the late Janet Kitzman. Dear uncle of Gavin, Ella, Samantha and Christopher.

James was employed as a Hilo Driver for Detroit Diesel for 22 years. He was an avid golfer, bowler, dancer, and sports fanatic. He was a friend to many and was loved by all. James will also be remembered by his nickname “Smurf” which he was given while serving in the United States Navy.

James generously donated several of his body tissues to the Michigan Gift of Life Organ and Tissues Organization. He will live on in the men, women, and children of whom he helped to save.

The family will receive friends for a Memorial Gathering on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 2-9pm with a 7:00pm Memorial Service at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 25450 Plymouth Road, Redford Township, Michigan 48239 (just east of Beech Daly).
