Phillip Brian Swartz, age 68, of Dearborn Heights, Michigan passed away on Saturday February 2, 2019. Phillip was born September 9, 1950 to his mother Alberta and his late father Michael. Loving husband to Christy for 33 years. Proud father of Kristen Lapointe, Brian (Kathy) Swartz, late Elijah (Heather) Swartz, Emma Swartz, and Sarah Swartz. Cherished grandfather of William, Nathaniel, and Abigail. Beloved brother of Mike (Marsha), Nancy, and Cyndi (Jeff). Phillip will also be greatly missed by many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Phillip's main interests and hobbies were related to technology. Computers and technology played a large role in his career as well, and he always kept up with learning about all the latest softwares and devices. He also enjoyed learning about and looking at classic cars and loved to watch tv shows about them. He could tell the year, make, and model of any car driving down the road and wanted to learn everything he could about different cars, new and old. Music was also a big influence in his life, and he often got excited when he would discover new music that he would get to share with his family. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
A visitation at Harry J Will Funeral home in Redford will occur Wednesday February 6th from 2-8pm. A funeral service will be held at Guardian Lutheran Church at 24544 Cherry Hill St, Dearborn, MI 48124, in state 10-11am and service at 11am, luncheon at church to follow. .
