

Richard Irving Hunt was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on December 12, 1930 to Harold and Rachel (Dresser) Hunt. He passed suddenly on December 5, 2011 at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan at the age of 80.
Loving father of Kathleen, David, Robert (Sandra McCabe) and Jeffrey; formerly married to and friend of Mary DeLisle; dear brother of Eugene (Nannette) and the late Phyllis and the late Carol.
Richard served in the U.S. Navy from April 1951-55. He served in Korea (1952-53) and later on the destroyer USS Gearing. He received a number of commendations while in the Navy.
Richard worked in hospitals as an X-ray technician nearly all his life. He retired from Saratoga General Hospital in Detroit.
Richard enjoyed sports as a young man and continued to play softball well into his forties. He was also an excellent bowler, playing in various leagues for many decades. His favorite sports team was the Detroit Red Wings.
Family will receive friends Thursday 2-8 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 25450 Plymouth Road, Redford. Funeral services will be 11 am at the funeral home. The family appreciates memorial contributions to the American Lung Association. Will Funeral Homes, Redford, MI.
