Stefan Idzi Kozlowski

Stefan Idzi Kozlowski was born on August 30, 1921 to Franciszek and Marianna Kozlowski in Ostrzeszow, Poland. He immigrated to the United States through Ellis Island in 1949 and became a U.S. citizen on June 14, 1955.

Stefan was the devoted husband of the late Lillian for 58 years, dear father of Thaddeus (Teri) Kozlowski, Thomas (Carol) Kozlowski, Carl Kozlowski, and Chris (Ann) Kozlowski, grandfather of Stephanie (Matthew) Swindall, Mark (Rina) Kozlowski, Teressa (Adam) Kuz, Tamara Kozlowski, Tonya Kozlowski, Tracy (Robert Jr.) Ahlgren, Tiffany Kozlowski, Tillie Kozlowski, Katie Kozlowski, Sarah Kozlowski, Christina Kozlowski, and Dakota Weeks, great-grandfather of Cade Swindall, Cescily Swindall, and Liam Kuz, brother of Sophie Zygaj and Helen Jakubczak.

After 35 years of employment with General Motors, Stefan retired in 1985. He was a long time member of St. Hilary Catholic Church in Redford, MI and was proud of his Polish heritage.

Stefan's family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 19 from 4-8pm (with a Rosary Service at 7pm) at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 25450 Plymouth Road in Redford. Funeral Mass Wednesday, August 20 at 10am (in-state at 9:30am) at Our Lady of Grace, 8679 Riverview in Dearborn Heights. Internment at St. Hedwig Cemetery. Memorial Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
