Varla and I met while working at Ford Motor Company.  A friendship with her was immediate.  That's just the way she was.  She could get along with any one.  Even though retired, we still managed to get together and celebrate birthdays.  One of her favs was Red Lobster.  All who knew her will truly miss her.  Varla, you will be forever in our hearts.

Varla was more than a co-worker at Ford for many years.  We developed a unforgettable friendship fed by  her calm demeanor and reality checks which made a crazy environment doable.   Varla always had time to take care of others.   Truly a sad day and missed by many.

Varla was first a coworker at Ford Motor Company and quickly became a very dear friend to me and many of my coiworkers. We shared many intense days together working at Ford, and we remained friends after both of our retirements. It was always refreshing to spend time with Varla, and we will miss her companionship. Our sincere condolensces to her family.

I have such fond memories of Varla and our families getting together in Marquette and Detroit areas.  Her parents were like aunt and uncle to us and Varla and Bruce were like cousins. Both sets of parents had been life long friends. Rest In Peace dear Varla. You will be missed
