William W. Ferrill, Sr. age 80, of Redford, Michigan went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. William was born May 11, 1941 in Dearborn, Michigan. He was the only son of Albert & Florence Ferrill. William was a kind and loving husband, father and "Pappy" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. William served honorably in the U.S. Army. Bill worked at Detroit Diesel until 1996, when he retired. He also worked with the Redford Township Police Department as a Reserve Officer, and also as security for the Redford Township Library. Bill was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons and an avid fan of the Detroit Red Wings and Tigers.
Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Dolores "Dee" (Nightingale); children, Teresa "Terry" Biegas, Christine (Thomas) Bach, Pauline "Paula" (Christopher) Ott and William (Christina) Ferrill, Jr.; grandchildren, Jarek, Lyndon, Colin, and Devin Biegas, Joseph Ferrill, Hayley Ferrill, Stanley Ott, Jillian, Ethan, Brayden Ferrill, and Tricia (Chaz) Sawyer; great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Aiden, Addy, and Indie Biegas, Cruz and Eve Sawyer.
Bill was pre-deceased by his parents, and his son-in-law, Thomas Biegas.
William will be greatly missed by all that knew him. His family said, "We lost a great man."
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 25450 Plymouth Road, Redford Township, Michigan 48239. Visitation continues on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11:00 a.m.
