at the young age of 53 in Sammamish, WA.
Cezar was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and a devoted friend and a considerate colleague. He worked at Microsoft for over 20 years, but decided to leave the company to start a new adventure with his friends at a local startup. He had the rare ability to see an opportunity in every challenge and a ray of sunshine behind every cloud.
Two things Cezar loved; family and sports. He was a Seahawks and Sounders fan. He loved to watch and play soccer. He played soccer with a team at Arena Sports and at Microsoft. In addition to soccer, he also coached, managed, and was the captain of a men’s tennis team named Dacia. Cezar even led the team to third place at nationals in 2021.
He loved in incorporate sports with his family. He would organize trips to European and Mondial soccer cups so that his family and friends would be able to go with him. Not just that, but he also coached his son’s little league baseball team.
Since Cezar’s arrival in Redmond in October of 1995, he has been an integral part of helping to build and lead the Romanian Community. He was a leader in the Romanian community in Seattle and contributed to building the Românian Orthodox Church in Mountlake Terrace.
Cezar loved to go back to Romania and visit family and friends. He has a group of friends from high school that he enjoyed spending time with and visiting.
He always had a smile on his face. He was kind and gracious with everyone. He was respectful and always made sure everyone was included and taken care of. His premature departure from this world creates a great void for all those whose lives he touched. Cezar’s thoughtful attitude, positive outlook, and bright smile will be forever remembered and sorely missed!
He is survived by his wife; Cătălina, two kids; Ioana and Alex, his sister; Carmen, brother-in-law; Bogdan, his nieces; Roxana and Teodora, his mother-in-law; Oltita, whom is back in Romania, and his mom who lives in his hometown of Iași, Romania; Natalia.
A visitation for Cezar will be held Monday, February 7, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cedar Lawns Funeral Home, 7200 180th Ave NE, Redmond, WA 98052. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cedar Lawns Funeral Home.
