Gil was born in Seattle on April 28th 1936 and passed away peacefully surrounded by his family June 20th 2017 at Swedish Hospital in Issaquah. Gil moved from Seattle to Sultan where he met the love of his life, his wife and best friend, Myrna. Gil and Myrna were married for 59 years and made Redmond their home in 1961. Gil was proud to be an Operating Engineer, and belonged to the Operating Engineers Union for 50 years. Gil enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His love for his wife, children and grandchildren was truly unconditional. Gil loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling and passed that passion onto his children and grandchildren. Gil was preceded in death by his infant son John, his mother Lila, and his three brothers, Chuck, Jerry and Walt. He is survived by his wife Myrna, son Gilbert Jr., daughter Lisa (Bob), son Shawn, daughter Lori and daughter Jennifer, grandsons Bobby, Brandon(Jona), Kevin, Kyle, Brady, and Konner, Granddaughters Alexis and Callista, sisters Margot(Dave) and Louise (Ed) and brother Gordy(Bonnie) and many beloved nephews and nieces and Boston Terriers Harley and Hornsby. And many friends who he loved and considered family.
